The long awaited projector

Technically I’ve had it for 2 weeks now, but I felt the post could wait. I now have a 95″ image on my wall in the lounge-room. Unfortunatley due to the obvious lighting issues, taking photos of the projected image is a large problem. I’ve tried to take many a photo and the best I’ve managed to take was one in the middle of SyFy’s Alice [Well Sci-Fi's Alice but we will ignore country localization]. PIC_0044

So it makes a nice picutre, and in the person theres noticible difference between SD and HD which is good seeing as it is a HD projector and whatnot. (seems a video is a better way to summise its awesome).

A question of K2 proportions

How many posts must one make on ones blog before this lovley theme splits it into more than one page? Seriously? There’s quite a few posts on this blog now, To my dismay but there all on the one nasty, long, slow loading page. So anyone! Please, How many posts must one make!

Also while your here, Can you inform me as to how when you scroll down you get that bar that follows you ^ there, and has Previous Page, Next Page and Back to Top?

Any help would be much appriciated. Thanks!

Well I seem to have figured out all the above questions by my self. So I think thats preddy kewl

For the love of.. Bigger screens!

Now I know people are “Trending” towards laptops and small laptops at that, But its hugely annoying I mean this website, Has a lovley background that Mr. iTunes generated for me (lol) but it only displays properly on MY screen. I am aware that CSS allows you to change background based on screen size, but thats too hard with K2. So someone, Please persuade people to buy 1920×1080 screens even if its only for the sake of MY blog, That no one ever reads, except you!

These are the neccesary files that you will need to make this project work.

  1. Thickbox Javascript
  2. Thickbox Stylesheet
  3. Thickbox Loading Animation
  4. Thickbox Mac Background Hack
  5. Jquery
  6. OR: Download my demo version

Add this to the .TBoverlayMacFBBGhack style.

.TB_overlayMacFFBGHack {background: url(../images/macFFBgHack.png) repeat;}

Edit thickbox.js and replace this.

var tb_pathToImage = "../images/loadingAnimation.gif";

Then you need to create/edit your index page and add the following lines (Removing the space between the < and first letter.)

< script type="text/javascript" src="scripts/thickbox.js"> < link rel="stylesheet" href="stylesheet/thickbox.css" type="text/css" media="screen">

This javascript will make an inline thickbox open on page load

Seriously Chinese, Japanese & Korean languages are really super short!

Though the first thing I would really like to do is welcome you to this blog I cant!

If I told you why I cant tell you well that would defeat the purpose of me not telling you why I cant.

This blog shall be the future host to many a crazy rant, strange video, odd photo, piece of useful code, weird and wacky music & more.

But for now at least, This will be somewhat of a placeholder until I have enough content to launch a super-long first page. Never to fear that shan’t take long!
